Abstract
Aim: with 8 % prevalence of Diabetes and 20% of retinopathy, the crusade against diabetic blindness remains a challenge. “DR for GO program” aims to empower General Ophthalmologists with capacity to identify treatable DR. Method: The audience would be presented, clear cases of DR requiring intervention, eg. cases with features of VTDR . 10 fundus photographs will be presented .Audience would choose options using vote pads. Outcome will be displayed .The slides will be explained by a retina surgeon with reference to matching FA &OCT and final decision taken. The audience would vote again on different set of matching slides. The difference in decision making would be noted & compared. Caps & T shirts given would add color. Inference: With Covid perspective empowering GO to handle basic DR will extend their capabilities, equip them with capacity to identify the disease and refer appropriately. Process would help in developing “human analogue to AI” for identification of treatable DR.
