Abstract
Postoperative endopthalmitis is a nightmare for any Ophthalmologist. Early detection and prompt action are the key to a reasonable outcome . It is imperative to have the knowledge of etiology, microbiology, clinical presentations, relevant investigations, management, long term complications and expected outcome in the present scenario.The course focuses on all this and also on how to prevent or minimise post-op endopthalmitis with emphasis on sterilization and asepsis . We will also deal with importance of proper documentation, consent and medicolegal aspects to avoid litigation.
