Abstract
Purpose: To report an interesting case of fish in the visual field.
Methods: A 49 year old male presented with complaints of seeing fish in his left eye for 2 days. A thorough ophthalmic examination was performed along with Optical coherence tomography and optical coherence tomography angiography.
Results: OCT along with OCT-A clinched the diagnosis with characteristic findings. OCT B-scan showed hyper-reflectivity of juxta foveal middle retinal layers and OCT-A showed capillary non perfusion in deep capillary plexus corresponding to the B-scan lesion. A diagnosis of Paracentral Acute Middle Maculopathy (PAMM) was made.
Conclusion: PAMM can present as unusual defects in the visual field. OCT and OCT-A are diagnostic of this rare entity.
