Abstract

In an intumescent cataract, initiation of rhexis often leads in extension to the periphery resulting in argentinian flag sign which makes phacoemulsification a challenge. This video demonstates different techniques of safe capsulorhexis in intumescent cataract namely the spiral rhexis, double rhexis, envelope technique and rhexis under cover of cohesive viscoelastics .
