Abstract

These series of videos of Posterior Polar Cataract operated by Phacoemulsification will demonstrate the various techniques for safely managing such cases which have a higher than normal incidence of per operative complications due to the possibility of a pre- existing weak posterior capsule or even a capsular dehiscence.

The video will not only show the various techniques of managing the cataract but also the Phacoemulsification parameters to be adjusted in these cases to have a successful outcome. The Dos and Don’ts of the surgical management will also be demonstrated to help learners have a safe and short journey in mastering Phacoemulsification in Posterior Polar Cataracts.
