Abstract
Eyes with small pupils present significant challenge to cataract surgeons. Small pupil can affect all stages of phacoemulsification, by obscuring visualization. It makes the surgery more difficult and increases the possibility of complications. This video highlights certain surgical strategies while performing phacoemulsification in small pupil. Several intraoperative techniques and pupil-expanding devices enables phacoemulsification to be performed even in these difficult eyes.
