Abstract
We can prevent a patient from undergoing this procedure by complete and skilful removal of the primary tumor. Surgical steps are simple, and if performed rightly, will help to prolong the life of the individual based on the histopathology of margins or frozen section if performed.
Once executed however, the cosmetic rehabilitation is lengthy, requiring several postoperative visits, irrespective of the technique used to close the inital defect. Modifications of this surgery include, sparing of the eyelids, preserving some of the periorbital tissue as well as conjunctiva to help in better restoration of cosmesis.
Complications are several if not managed adequately post-operatively
