Abstract
Brown’s Syndrome is managed surgically for its abnormal head posture of chin up and face turn to opposite side. There arebmany methods to overcome this restrictive strabismus with variable results.Superior oblique tenotomy, Chicken suture, split tendon lengthening and Wright’s silicon band tendon lengthening are some of them.Though graded, these can lead to an iatrogenic superior oblique palsy later which may warrant resurgery. Some complications of silicon band are said to be granuloma formation and extrusion of the band.
.This is a case of iatrogenic SO paresis which occurred 5years after Wright’s superior oblique tendon lengthening. It was treated successfully after shortening of the band under GA with good results.
