Abstract
A 42-year-old immunocompetent male presented with sudden loss of vision (OD). His visual acuity was CF with dense posterior vitreous exudate obscuring view of the macula. A 23G vitrectomy with PVD induction was performed. Macular retinochoroiditis, retinal vasculitis with hemorrhages were noted intraoperatively. Microbiological examination of the vitreous sample confirmed Aspergillus flavus endophthalmitis. Intravitreal voriconazole injections were repeated until complete resolution of macular chorioretinitis on serial swept source OCT examination . Patient achieved a final visual acuity of 20/80.
