Abstract

Persistent macular holes have been treated with various techniques including neurosensory retinal patch graft. In this technique a neurosensory retinal patch graft is taken after inducing localized retinal detachment preferably in superior retina and the graft is placed over the macular hole facilitating its closure.

We present some interesting cases showing the neurosensory retinal patch graft surgery and instances when graft was placed at macular hole but it was not staying at the intended area & kept dislodging, creating trouble for the surgeon.

We discuss the causes in our cases and hope it would help other surgeons who might face similar complication.
