Abstract

It is a small-bore mini needle (33 gauge, 0.2 mm diameter) integrated with 3.5 mm – 4 mm measuring caliper, which ensures safe injection localization. This needle penetrates the sclera, more easily and causes less vitreal reflux during the procedure. There is a protective shield that keeps the needle covered at all time thus increasing the injection safety margin. It also prevents contact contamination and protects against air-borne pathogens that may cause severe bacterial infection leading to endophthalmitis. This ensures consistency of the injection in all situations.
