Abstract
cataract the cause of blindness in worldwide .When a cataract becomes visually significant ,cataract surgery is the only established method of treatment. cataract surgery is one of the major surgeries performed in the opthalmology. many postgraduate medical training center are mentoring ophthalmic residents in small incision cataract surgery .Material and method : A prospective , Cohort study in 450 patient having Cataract who have undergone sics.150 patient each by 1 ,2 and 3 year JR respectively .surgeries were recorded for complication faced intraoperatively.the ratio of difficulties were noted with the help of OCTET score Statistics: p value of <0.05 Result: Significant decrease in duration, complication rate and postoperative OCTET score was achieved by 3year residence in comparison with 1 and 2 year residence in sx .Wet lab based cataract surgery training for JR1provides a safe and effective environment to practies surgical techniques.
