Abstract
COVID-19 has brought not only the risk of death from infection but also unbearable psychological and social pressure.We sampled doctors and other health care givers in our hospital by using cluster sampling. They responded to a questionnaire packet that included the Zung SAS &SDS scale.Results indicated that 30% experiencing mild anxiety. Among females, 38.46% experiencing mild anxiety in contrast to 14.28% males.Staying alone increases risk of anxiety to 50% in respect to staying with family or friends which was 21.42%. 55% respondents having income affected by 50-100% during this period of which 36.36% experienced mild anxiety in contrast to 22.22% people who have not experienced any income reduction. 65% of the people think that patients were very much happy that they are getting emergency services and they want to get in touch with the hospital in future. From the data, female gender, staying alone, income reduction found to be associated with increased anxiety and depression.
