Abstract
Results: The mean score of QOL was 41.39 ± 10.29 and the score was different across gender (41.32 ± 10.32 in male vs 41.43± 10.29 in female). When VRQOL was high; it was found significantly associated with less depression and more social connectedness. The analysis showed age, gender, education and occupation were best predictors of VRQOL.
Conclusion:Overall, visually impaired participants had lower quality of life scores. Awareness among the elderly population should be created for regular medical check-ups to ensure prevention and early detection of chronic eye diseases.
