Abstract
Methods: A cross sectional study among neonates with GA <34 weeks, undergone oxygen therapy,screened for ROP at Dept. of Ophthalmology & NICU of VSSIMSAR, Burla. Results: Out of 172 infants screened,13.3% male and 18.0% female had ROP and 46.7% infants <30 weeks GA, 15.4% with GA between 30- 32 weeks, 8.5% in the 32-35 weeks presented with ROP.27.9% of new-born with birth weight <1.5kgs and 5.8% with birth weight between 1.5-2.5kgs had ROP. Conclusions: This study shown a significant association of ROP with the low GA, birth weight and oxygen therapy.
