Abstract
Method: Study included 30 patients each in Group-A and B; Group A with patients having clinically significant macular edema(CSME) in either eye and Group-B with Diabetic Retinopathy without edema. Visual acquity, IOP , fundus examination, FFA , OCT done and HbA1c level measured.
Results: Mean age in Group-A and B were 50-59 and 40-49 years with male preponderance in both. Maximum patients presented with diminished vision. In group-A, maximum have bilateral CSME and foveal thickness <350 micron. Group-A has significantly higher mean HbA1c level. Conclusion: Higher mean HbA1c levels are significantly associated with development of macular edema and foveal thickness in OCT.[advanced_iframe src="https://view.officeapps.live.com/op/embed.aspx?src=https://aiosproceedings.s3.ap-southeast-1.amazonaws.com/2021/E-Poster/FP1698.pptx" width="100%" height="608"]
