METHOD–Study comprised of 57pts(63 eyes)with ocular trauma between AUG’18 to AUG’19.Raw scores were allotted based on initial visual acuity, globe rupture, endophthalmitis, perforating injury,RD & RAPD.Visual outcomes were assessed at 6 months following appropriate management & outcomes were compared with the predicted OTS outcomes
RESULT-78% were male patients and 22% female, mean age being 34.According to Birmingham eye trauma classification 33% were open globe injuries and 67% were closed globe injuries. Most common cause of ocular trauma being RTA(87%) followed by mechanical injuries and injury by assault.Visual outcomes in our patients at 6 months follow up showed strong correlation with the predicted visual outcome by international OTS.
