Abstract
Introduction : Microspherophakia is a developmental disorder ,characterized by increased anterioposterior diameter and reduced equatorial diameter .With fully dilated pupil whole lens equator can be seen. We report a case of isolated microspherophakia will second degree open angle glaucoma (pigmentary glaucoma). Material. 35 year old female presented with complaints of gradually progressive painless loss of vision in both the eyes since 4 years. Loss of vision in rt eye since one year. She was on IOP lowering agents last 4 months. Slit lamp examination shows deep AC VH grade 3, with krukenkberg spindle in BE, with iridodonosis and phacodonosis noted. RAPD noted in rt eye. Conclusion;Microspherophakia is clinically characterized by triad of spherical crystalline small lens, lenticular myopia and glaucoma. Most common form of glaucoma reported is secondry angle closure due to papillary block, in our case report we present a case of microsphrophakia with pigmentary glaucoma.
