Abstract
60 yr male presented with complaints of Diminution of vision in Right eye since 1 month and left eye since 4 months. Diminution in RE was acute, painless, progressive. He has history of uncontrolled Diabetes since 8 yrs. On examination vision in OD was 2/60 and OS was 6/36,with RAPD present in left eye. Fundus examination of right eye showed optic disc edema and left eye showed optic atrophy. Color vision was impaired in Left eye and normal in right eye. Contrast sensitivity reduced in both eye. All Hematological investigations were normal except deranged HbA1C. MRI Brain was normal.
CONCLUSION: Above Clinical findings in absence of intracranial mass can be labeled as Pseudo Foster Kennedy Syndrome & in our patient was due to diabetic non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy.
