Abstract
A 49 year old HIV positive male presented to us with progressively increasing swelling with redness, pain in right eye- 4 months& defective vision-2 months.Patient was evaluated outside. HPE-s/o granulomatous suppuration.PCR for TB was negative .Patient lost follow up. Now patient came with tender firm mass palpable in superolateral quadrant with superotemporal RD& vision 2/60.CT orbit-infiltrative orbital aspergilloma and screening of chest showed intracavitory aspergilloma. Patient was referred to GH for IV amphotericin. We report this case to emphasize a high index of suspicion for fungal infection in immunocompromised patients as delay in diagnosis or improper management is the cause for increased morbidity &mortality. Systemic screening for fungal infection before starting ocular treatment is a must.
