Abstract

During this study patients of poly trauma were evaluated under BETT PROFILE and initialy attended at casualty level by ophthalmologist It wa noted that 35 % of patients had ocular trauma among them eyelid laceration accounted for 49% corneo scleral tear accounted for 22% traumatic RD for 3% traumatic optic neuropathy for 7% and rest 19% had various types of ocular injuries It was noted that ocular injuries are becoming extremely common component of traumatic profile of poly trauma both in MLC and non MLC form in present scenario in our set up requiring augmented approach by all the branches of medical sciences in totality It was further noted ophthalmic intervention Is much saughtafter in day to day approach for poly trauma management
