Abstract

This video-based Master Class shows IOL fixation techniques when capsular support is lacking. Experts make these complex surgeries look simple when they are really not. In this interactive course, each step will be critically analysed, questions asked and the logic behind each manoeuvre clarified so that correct surgical decisions are made. We will also discuss and demonstrate with the help of videos the management of a dropped nucleus and dropped IOL. We will also discuss various options of IOL implantation in the absence of capsule support including glued IOL’s and Retro Iris fixated IOL’s will be discussed.

In this course the attendees will learn a methodical way of planning for and performing IOL fixation surgery.
