Abstract

Video based instruction course will present 6 rules to handle complex cataracts. The scenarios include phakic IOL with cataract, seclusio pupillae with cataract, phaco in eyes with coloboma, nanophthalmos, post traumatic cataract and post keratoplasty. Assesment, precautions to be taken, fluidics and power modulation changes needed, choice of OVDs and phaco techniques will be discussed. At the conclusion of this course, the attendee will understand the clinical pearls and tips for enhancing surgical skills and optimizing outcomes in difficult cataract scenarios
