Abstract
Video-based course will review preoperative evaluation, anterior capsular techniques & relevance of hydro procedures. Videos will illustrate capsulorhexis challenges in fibrotic capsules and sub capsular calcified plaques, intumescent whites with high intralenticular pressure demonstrating anterior chamber pressure dynamics, OVD choice, incision calibration, rhexis initiation, rhexis retrieval, double rhexis, phaco punch, needle decompression techniques, pre-operative YAG Laser capsulotomy shots for decompression, and Femtosecond Laser-assisted capsulotomy, pearls, pitfalls & complications in managing Argentinian flag sign; flap motility sign as a sign of PCR, end point of safe phacoemulsification & appropriate IOL implantation site in anterior capsular tears; management strategies in Morgagnian cataracts, intumescent cataracts and black in white cataracts; FLACS in intumescent & Fibrotic cataracts; IOL scaffold to prevent and manage PCR; and IOL bag complex fixation.
