Abstract

This Masterclass on IOL power calculation will review the current status of state of the art biometry, reliable formulae/calculators and standard operating procedures for optimal refractive outcomes. It will also deal with commonly encountered special situations in cataract surgery where IOL calculations require customized approach – eg. toric IOLs, secondary and piggyback IOLs, high myopia/hypermetropia, posterior segment pathologies and vitrectomised eyes, post refractive surgery eyes etc. Take home pearls summarizing the course contents will be highlighted.
