Abstract

Pediatric keratoconus has several distinctive diagnostic and management issues in comparison of adult keratoconus. The major concerns are late diagnosis, rapid progression & management of ocular co-morbidities.

Visual impairment in a child, effects on social and educational development & quality of life.

Course will include early diagnosis, evaluation of co morbidity & various imaging modalities to detect progression. It will also include the various modalities of crosslinking & difficulties of it in pediatric pt.

Participants will also enriched by knowledge of various surgical modalities of DALK, PK & newer modalities like BM grafting in pediatric Keratoconus. They will also share the experiences of rehabilitation by various modalities like- ICRS , PRK with C3R, Scleral contact lenses.
