Abstract

There has been a paradigm shift in management of microbial keratitis. his course will highlight clinical and microbiological workup in recalcitrant cases. Role of topical monotherapy and combination fortified antibacterial therapy and steroids in bacterial keratitis, will be discussed. Indications, technique and outcomes of topical, intracameral, intrastromal and systemic antimycotic agents will be elucidated. Mono and combination therapy for parasitic keratitis and role of antiviral therapy in viral keratitis, will be highlighted. Indications, technique, and outcomes of therapeutic keratoplasty in each of these case scenarios will also be discussed.
