Abstract
Optical coherence tomography has revolutionized retinal practice. Constant advancements in retinal imaging lead to the introduction of OCT-Angiography- a novel, non-invasive, dye-less imaging technique. Through this instruction course we explore the various ways OCT-A helps us in improving our clinical practice. An introduction to the technology and the frequent pitfalls and artefacts lays the foundation of the subsequent talks. This is followed by a comprehensive disease entity-based description of OCT-A imaging features. Management of diabetic retinopathy, vasculopathies, CNVMs and inflammatory diseases benefits extensively from angiographic studies. The role of artificial intelligence (AI) in OCT and OCT-A image analysis is discussed with introduction of open access tools and a peek into emerging software applications. At the end of the course, the attendees will have been introduced to practical OCT-A and AI applications in retinal diseases that they can apply in their practices.
