Abstract
Cataract is leading cause of visual impairment treatable by surgery. Patients postoperative satisfaction ,ability to function in daily activities depends on postoperative visual outcome.
Aims: Analysis of outcome of camps cataract surgeries terms V/A, complications and Satisfaction level.
Material and Methods: All patients had SICS with IOL . Pre & postop V/A,complications and satisfaction level noted.
Results: Total number 1053. Mature cataract in 69.2% cases.Complications were graded by OCTET grading accounted for 3.5 % of total surgeries. Transient corneal oedema 4.2%, hyphaema 1.23%, hypopyon 0.48%, residual cortex 1.58% and malposition of IOL seen in 0.4%. V/A after surgery was categorized with WHO guidelines. Outcome in study, good o ( 89.5%), (8.5 %) borderline, and (1.9)%. Satisfaction level by (SAPS) scale was 78%
Conclusion – High quality camp cataract surgery with low complication rate and good visual outcome which can help to clear the cataract backlog.
