Abstract

Aim: This is a video bouquet of my first experience and encounter in managing complicated cataract cases during my fellowship period.

Material and Methods: Inspired by my mentors I entered into the world of phacoemulsification. Every young ophthalmologist faces mixed feelings of excitement and anxiety of their first unusual or complicated cataract cases. In this video bouquet, I will show my first encounter with unusual or complicated cataract cases ; Intumescent cataract, PPC, soft cataract, SFIOL implantation and anterior vitrectomy which I did in my fellowship period. I will expose my mistakes and also explain how I tackled and managed these cases on table with tips and tricks for all budding young surgeons to handle complicated cataract cases which I learnt from my mentors.

Conclusion: This video bouquet is my learning curve in managing complicated cataract cases during my fellowship period and teaching video for young ophthalmologists .
