Abstract
Congenital glaucoma poses a challenge to the ophthalmologist. The outcome of management is dependent on the severity of glaucoma, prompt medical and/or surgical intervention and life-long follow-up. The present video highlights the outcome of management of three different patients with mild, moderate and severe degree of manifestation of congenital glaucoma. While the surgical outcome was excellent in the milder form of the disease, the moderate and severe form of the disease required multiple surgical interventions and low vision rehabilitation services. Patients expressed the challenges they encountered and the coping mechanisms adopted by them in their daily lives. They also expressed their emotional and psychological challenges faced by them. In summary, this video provides insight into the lived experiences of patients with congenital glaucoma.
