Abstract
Method: A 21 years old male patient with complaints of diminution of distant vision since 3 months came to ophthalmology out patient department for evaluation.
Results: On examination the Best corrected visual acuity in both eyes was 6/6(-2). Slit lamp examination of anterior segment showed few cortical opacities in the lens which on dilatation of pupil revealed blue dot cataract in both eyes. Posterior segment was normal in both eyes. Patient was prescribed glasses for refractive error correction.
Conclusion: Blue dot cataract is a congenital condition which remains asymptomatic and most often seen as an incidental finding.
