Abstract
Method-Case series of 7 Patients
Case Presentation-7 patients with rare ocular features were diagnosed with incidental fatal neurological conditions that resulted in early intervention and prevented death. A 40 year old female who presented with anisocoria was diagnosed with thalamic infarct. 8 year old with esotropia was diagnosed to have massive prolactinoma. A case with ptosis was found to have high flow Caroticocavernous fistula. Patient with floaters was diagnosed with pineocytoma. 23 year old with proptosis was discovered to have rhinorbitocerebral aspergillosis. 70 year old with no co morbidities with acute bilateral visual loss had occipital infarct secondary to multiple myeloma. 45 year old with diplopia was found to have Wegener’s syndrome
Conclusion-Once upon a time, systemic knowledge, pinch of suspicion and neuroimaging saved 7 lives!
