Abstract
Results: A total of 757 responses were recorded, out of which 661 were adults and 96 were children. Majority of parents were paranoid about contracting the Coronavirus. 22% of participant accepted that his/her alcohol consumption had been increased. 16% revelled that they were consuming alcohol/smoking as a way of dealing with emotions, stress, fear or anxiety. 35% of children accepted that their ability to focus and complete school tasks had been decreased.
Conclusion: Through this survey, we have found an increased level of stress and anxiety which is affecting mental health and psychosocial wellbeing of not only adults but children too. Overindulgence in alcohol and smoking is further aggravating the stress.
