Dengue fever is a mosquito borne viral disease more commonly seen in tropical and subtropical regions. Its ocular manifestations are less commonly reported.This study was conducted to report various ocular manifestations of dengue fever.It was conducted on 94 patients diagnosed with dengue fever over a period of 8 months. All patients underwent thorough ophthalmological assessment. 94 patients were included in the study (50 male and 44 female).36.2% patients had bilateral and 18.9% patients had unilateral visual symptoms. 25.5% patients had vision 6/60 or worse. Subconjunctival haemorrhage (55.3%),macular edema (36.17%),retinal vasculitis (25.5%) and anterior uveitis (4.25%) were noted. 21.2% patients showed no ocular changes. Subconjunctival haemorrhage and macular oedema were the most common ocular manifestations. All the patients with dengue fever should undergo ophthalmological assessment and should be followed up to prevent complications leading to permanent visual impairment.
