Abstract
MRI showed a frontal sinus mucocele with infraorbital, extraconal extension and intracranial extension via erosion of orbital roof.
Mucocele excision was planned through a frontal craniotomy and supraorbital subperiosteal approach by a combined ophthalmology-neurosurgery approach. A bicoronal incision was taken and frontal craniotomy done. The mucocele was identified and dissected from dura and periorbita and excised. The musoca of the frontal sinus was scrapped out. The sinus was obliterated with bone wax. The orbital roof defect was covered with split bone autograft was taken from the inner table of craniotomy bone and wrapped in pericranial flap.
No neurological or systemic complications were noted in post operative period and patient showed good improvement in ptosis and dystopia
