Abstract
Material and methods – retrospective chart analysis of case of 50-year-old male patient with left eye proptosis, chemosis, congestion since 2 years treated as thyroid eye disorder with intravenous methyl prednisolone X 12 doses. He was subjected to magnetic resonance imaging(MRI) and digital subtraction angiography(DSA).
Result – DSA revealed presence of small indirect caroticocavernous fistula on left side. Patient had developed enormous hypertrophy of muscle of left eye leading to proptosis.
Conclusion- Cases of steroid resistant non resolving proptosis should be thoroughly reviewed considering all possible differential diagnosis.
