Abstract
A total of 17 cases fitting the Tessier craniofacial cleft classification were found. 10 had bilateral cranio-facial clefts. Tessier cleft 3 was the most common and all of them had medial canthal dystopia. 5 were associated with cleft palate. 7 have associated Telecanthus. One patient had heminasal aplasia and one had bilateral dacryocele.
The surgical procedure most commonly employed for were direct suturing and canthoplasty. Tessier cleft classifications aids in catergorizing orbitocranial cleft disorders which are surgically challenging situations. Proper surgical management procedure imparts good cosmetic results most of the time.
