Abstract
A 5 days old post dated term male baby admitted in Neonatal ICU was asked for Ophthalmology consultation after he presented with failure to cry after birth; was lethargic and had congenital malformations of Micrognathia, Glossoptosis, and Cleft Palate. The case was diagnosed to be with Pierre Robinson Sequelae. On ocular examination using diffuse light, we found leucomatous corneal opacity in both eyes (right>left). On fundoscopy examination using Retcam, a tilted disc indicated towards myopic fundus. We suspected microphthalmia (left > right) to confirm which the neonate was advised a CT scan that documented our suspicion. The case was managed accordingly with subsequent follow-up for 9 months. Visual Acuity test was done at 8 months of age using Teller Acuity Cards. No Glaucomatous changes (disc changes in Retcam, IOP measurement by Perkins Tonometer, or Gonioscopic changes) were found. No Retinal Detachment (using Retcam) was detectable during the period of study.
