Abstract
The tuberculin skin test is one of the few investigations that are still widely used as an important test for diagnosing tuberculosis.
Case report:
A 26-year male presented with complaints of pain and redness in both eyes for 2 months. He had signs of anterior uveitis in both the eyes and was started on systemic corticosteroids after ruling out infective pathologies. His Tuberculin skin test was negative, Chest X-ray normal. On follow up examination, his symptoms persisted, so he was started on systemic immuno-suppressants. On further follow-up, he had serpiginous like choroiditis. He was investigated further and found positive for Tuberculosis on QuantiFERON gold assay based on which, he was stared on Anti-tuberculosis treatment combined with systemic corticosteroids following which his symptoms improved. His vision was not affected.
