Abstract
Purpose:To determine the anatomical and functional impact of internal limiting membrane peeling in cases of Idiopathic ERM associated Ectopic Fovea
Methods:A retrospective, interventional case series of 39 eyes with Idiopathic ERM associated Ectopic Fovea. The study period was between January 2016 and December 2019.Effect of ILM peeling on Post-op logMAR BCVA and resolution of Post surgery Ectopic fovea evaluated.Statistical tests done with appropriate significance (p=<0.05) Results:39 patients were included.Treatment options included Vitrectomy and ERM removal with or without ILM peeling.ILM peeling had no significant relation with absence of post-op ectopic fovea(p value = 0.256) and good logMAR BCVA(p value = 0.456) Conclusion:ILM peeling noted to have significant good impact on anatomical as well as functional outcomes in Idiopathic ERM associated with Ectopic Fovea, though results were not statistically significant. So ILM peeling is not essential in treating cases with Ectopic fovea
