Abstract
Secondary glaucoma refers to any form of glaucoma with an identifiable secondary cause of increased eye pressures, resulting in optic nerve head damage and vision loss. This is notorious for being the most aggressive variety and the most resistant to treatment. Most often, the regular line of management is insufficient to control it, and the clinician has to resort to surgical options like augmented trabeculectomy and setons, apart from treating the primary pathology. It’s refractory nature necessitates prompt diagnosis and treatment, otherwise permanent visual loss is inevitable. This instruction course aims to apprise our general practitioners in a concise manner and provide a better understanding of this condition.
