Abstract
This is a course based on the tools of video assisted skills transfer, case highlights and didactic lectures that explains the basic nature of complications that may arise in an eye that has undergone lasik or phakic intraocular lenses, their causes and course, assessment indicators, the challenges faced by surgeons, special situations unique to management and navigation through conditions that produce deterioration in an eye with extremely good vision. The idea is to make lucid the protocol involved in tackling postoperative ectasia, raised intraocular pressures, cataract, infections and trauma and illustrate the techniques for their optimal surgical and non surgical management. The attendees shall benefit by deriving a clear idea about the various manifestations of complications mentioned above in a surgically altered eye and how to steer through the situation using the pearls advocated. They can clear their doubts regarding ambiguities during the discussion.
