Abstract
We are presenting an interesting case of a spontaneously migrated retained glass particle from eyebrow to eyelid, presenting after 11 years, without causing any morbidity, in a 40-year-old male patient. He had complaints of feeling of a mobile mass in the left upper lid just below the eyebrow. He revealed having a dash-board injury11-years back, where he had sustained a linear laceration just below the medial aspect of the left eyebrow. On palpation of the upper lid, a mobile, well defined hard mass was felt approximately 4.5 mm below the eyebrow. X-ray was normal. On dissection, a glistening object was seen lying above the elevator palpebral superioris muscle. The presumed encapsulated cyst, actually turned out to be a retained glass particle 7.5*8 mm in size, with no surrounding fibrosis of tissues. Hence, it is important to take the help of various imaging modalities like USG B-can, CT-scan, or MRI in cases in which initial plain radiographs are negative and intervene at earliest.
