Abstract
common ,slow growing, well circumscribed tumor of the lacrimal gland. It has good prognosis once the tumor is excised completely. Incomplete excision leads to recurrence and rarely there is malignant transformation to carcinoma ex pleomorphic adenoma of lacrimal gland. A 68 yrs female presented to tertiary centre with recurrence of pleomorphic adenoma of lacrimal gland of right eye. The patient underwent surgical intervention twice and reported with recurrence for third time with extension to extraconal compartment of right orbit with destruction of right lateral wall and roof of orbit.Histopathologoical examination showed malignant transformation to carcinoma ex pleomorphic adenoma. Exenteration was done and patient followed up for any recurrence.
