Abstract
Method-A 80yr/f came with black lesion over LE lower lid, slowly increasing in last 6months.O/E: An raised,nodulo-ulcerative lesion(3×4cm)involving middle 2/3 of LE lower lid.H/o similar lesion 5yr back for which she got operated.
Excisional biopsy:S/O of BCC. Wide excision of the lesion was done with 4mm safety margin and reconstruction was performed using posterior auricular flap.
Result -Use of full-thickness posterior auricular grafting was an effective, one stage surgical procedure. We did not encounter post-operative complications, complete absence of tumour infiltration in the examined tissue margins and good functional and aesthetic results.
Conclusion-Reconstruction of periorbital defects following local postauricular flap advancement is associated with a good functional and cosmetic outcome and limited donor‐site morbidity.
