Abstract
A 60 year old female patient presented with dysphagia for 10 days to ENT department and was referred to ophthalmology for drooping of the right upper eyelid since 10 days .she is known case of hypertension x5 years on medication. Best corrected visual acuity in right eye (RE)6/60,left eye (LE)6/36.anterior segment examination showed RE-severe ptosis with immature cataract,restricted ocular movement in all gaze and LE-moderate ptosis with immature cataract,restricted Extra ocular movements in all gaze.fundus examination normal in both eyes. Ice pack test showed improvement of 6mm in right eye and improvement of 3mm in left eye .thyroid profile showed hypothyroidism(TSH-30pg/dl ).HRCT showed normal study. Patient treated with Tab. Prednisolone and referred to neurologist for the further management.This case shows importance of knowing the ocular presentation of general myasthenia gravis to elicit the precise diagnosis and treatment.
