Abstract
MATERIALS AND METHODS: We hereby present a case of 4year old boy who presented with chief complaint of swelling over right eye lower lid and watering since 3 months. History of similar episodes were seen in past. On examination there was a single pitted papular lesion on his right lower eyelid.
DISCUSSION: Ocular involvement of molluscum contagiosum presents with round small/ hard papules on eyelids. The virus proliferates in the epithelial cells, after the lesion reaches about 3-5mm in diameter, a central depression forms and develop appearance of whitish lesion filled with caseous material and having a dimple/pit in the center.
