Abstract
5 eyes developed microbial keratitis out of 1340 eyes operated between 2017 to 2019. All cases underwent accelarated collagen cross linking which included 20 mins of Ribofalvin priming and 10 mins of UV irradiation. 3 eyes underwent priming with Hypotonic RIboflavin and isotonic Riboflavin was employed in the remaining 2 eyes. All 5 patients had Staph aureus as the causative organism. All organisms in all 5 eyes were resistant to Ciprofloxacin, Levofloxacin and Gatifloxacin. 3 eyes had prior VKC. 2 eyes also had a prior history of steroid use before the surgery to control active VKC. Clinical findings, treatment and the course of the disease will be highlighted.
