PURPOSE- To detect the changes in the OCT-A in eyes of children with amblyopia and control children.
METHODS- A prospective cross sectional study to evaluate the macular and optic disk vascular density and flow area using OCT-A in patients from tertiary eye care centre.
RESULTS – A total of 60 children were included – 30 children with amblyopia and 30 children non amblyopic controls. The amblyopic eye subjects had a significant decrease in macular vascular density and macular flow area of the superficial capillary plexus and in the deep capillary plexus . Decrease n the optic disc flow area and in the retinal nerve fibre layer thickness.
Conclusion – in our study amblyopic eyes had a significant changes in macular and optic disc vascularization.
